The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed, not sold.

GRANT OF LICENSE. Affordable Information, Inc. Grants to you as an individual or entity a non-exclusive license to make and use copies of the SOFTWARE in the manner provided below.
(a) Installation. This Affordable Information, Inc. product E*Doc contains software that provides services on a computer called a server (“Server Software”), and software that allows a computer or workstation to access or utilize the services provided by the Server Software (“Client Software”). You may install one copy of the Server Software on a single computer (the computer running the Server Software shall be referred to as the “Server”).
(b) Use-Server Software. The Server Software may not be used to support multiple Domain Names (e.g. an Internet Service Provider (ISP) may not use the Server Software when hosting pages for its customers using different domain names). The components of the Server Software may only be used on one and the same CPU. If the Server provides or supports multiple CPUs then you are required to purchase as many licenses as CPUs your server supports and/or as many domains you plan to service with this product.
(c) Use Client software. You may use the Client Software on any computer or workstation. Subject to the Distribution Requirements described in Section 3.

REDISTRIBUTABLE CODE. Portions of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT (specifically the Client Software) are designated as “Redistributable Code”.

DISTRIBUTION REQUIREMENTS. To have a royalty-free right to redistribute the Redistributable code described in Section 2, (a) you must distribute only the Client Software only in conjunction with and as part of your product(s); (b) you must not redistribute the License files (LIC. , LPKs or Registry Enrtries) used to develop, design and integrate the server and/or client software (c) you must not permit further redistribution of the Client software by your end-user customers; (d) you do not expose, document or make public the software API (Application Programming Interface);(e) your software product(s) must add significant and primary functionality to E*Doc client software (f) your software product may not, in the reasonable opinion of Affordable Information, compete with the Software product (g) you must not use Affordable Information name, logo or trademarks to market your product(s); (h) you must include a valid copyright notice on your products(s); and (i) you must agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Affordable Information, Inc. For the applicable royalties due and other licensing terms for all other uses and/or distribution of the Client software.

UPGRADES. If the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is labeled as an upgrade, you must be properly licensed to use a product identified by Affordable Information as being eligible for the upgrade in order to use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. A SOFTWARE PRODUCT labeled as an upgrade replaces and/or supplements the product that formed the basis for your eligibility for the upgrade. You may use the resulting upgrading product only in accordance with the terms of this License Agreement. If the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is an upgrade of a component of a package of software programs that you licensed as a single product, the SOFTWARE PRODUCT may be used and transferred only as part of that single package and may not be separated for use in more than one computer.

COPYRIGHT. All right, title, and copyright in and to the SOFTWARE PRODUCT (including but not limited to any images, animations, text and “applets” incorporated into the SOFTWARE PRODUCT), and any copies of the Software Product, are owned by Affordable Information, Inc. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore, you must treat the SOFTWARE PRODUCT like any other copyrighted material except that you may either (a) make one copy of the SOFOTWARE PRODUCT solely for backup or archival purposes, or (b) install the SOFTWARE PRODUCT on a single computer, provided you keep the original solely for backup of archival purposes. You may not copy the printed materials accompanying the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.

LIMITED WARRANTY. Affordable Information, Inc. warrants that (a) the SOFTWARE will perform substantially in accordance with the accompanying written materials for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of receipt. and (b) any hardware accompanying the SOFTWARE will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year from the date of receipt. Any implied warranties on the SOFTWARE and hardware are limited to ninety (90) days and one (1) year respectively. Some states/jurisdictions do not allow limitations on duration of an implied warranty, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have others which vary from state/jurisdiction to state/jurisdiction.

CUSTOMER REMEDIES. Affordable Information, Inc.'s and its suppliers' entire liability and your exclusive remedy in the event of a defect in materials and workmanship of the SOFTWARE under normal use during the Limited Warranty period shall be, at Affordable Information, Inc.'s option, either (a) return of the price paid by you in exchange for all SOFTWARE contents including written materials; or (b) repair or replacement of the SOFTWARE or hardware that does not meet Affordable Information, Inc.'s Limited Warranty and which is returned to Affordable Information, Inc. with a copy of your receipt. This Limited Warranty is void if failure of the SOFTWARE or hardware has resulted from accident, abuse, or misapplication. Any replacement SOFTWARE or hardware will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days whichever is longer. Neither these remedies nor any product support services are available outside the United States without proof of purchase from an authorized non-U.S. source.

NO OTHER WARRANTIES. there are no other warranties to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Affordable Information, Inc. and its suppliers disclaim all other warranties, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with regard to the SOFTWARE, the accompanying written materials, and any accompanying hardware.

NO LIABILITIES FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES. To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Affordable Information, Inc. or its suppliers be liable for any damages whatsoever (including without limitations, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use this Affordable Information, Inc. product, even if Affordable Information, Inc. has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Because some states/jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitation may not apply to you.
